Just watched a video I found on Pinterest
On how to highlight and contour your face using make up. Who the hell has time for that in the morning…or ever? It is pretty remarkable how a little make up in the right places can completely change how you look. Then again, you must feel really bad about yourself if you have to highlight and contour every part of your face you don’t like.

I love Target
But hate when I find super cute clothes on the sale rack and then realize I’m looking at maternity clothes. Le sigh.

But I can’t stand Olivia Palermo and how people gush over her. It’s not like she’s a humanitarian or something. She’s a socialite, a rich girl who goes to parties and rubs elbows with important people. Also, she’s not a nice person. Does anyone remember when she was on The City (Whitney Port’s spinoff from The Hills)? She was a complete bitch and I’m...

Confession
Sometimes I like to watch Married to Jonas. Sometimes (always) after watching and hearing Danielle’s New Jersey accent, my inner Jersey girl tries to break free and wants to talk “Jersey.”
Side note: I can’t stand Danielle’s older sister and I’m still not convinced Kevin Jonas isn’t gay.

VTHokieFans.com: six years. →
unutterable-visions:
I have been thinking about this post for two weeks.
april is a difficult time of year for me. it has become a countdown of sorts. a mourning period. ”today’s, what, the sixth? ten days until the sixteenth.”
ten days until. four days until. tomorrow. today.
six years…
This perfectly captures my feelings. Thank you

My heart is heavy tonight
I think it’s safe to say we are all shocked and saddened by what happened today in Boston. I’m so thankful everyone I know is safe but I know there are some people who aren’t so lucky.
When I got home from the gym, Brad and I sat down for dinner and put on the news. It didn’t take two minutes before I was moved to tears and had to turn it off. I literally could not...

“I ask each of you to take the time to be a Hokie this week. Appreciate life a little more, take in every moment around you, count your blessings, tell the people around you that you love them, slow down, remember what’s truly important.
And live for those 32 who do not have that chance anymore.”

I feel like a zombie today
Between the heat (record high of 92 here in Richmond yesterday) and all the running around I did over the past two days helping out at my company’s annual conference, I am wiped. Hoping I can make it through the day!!

25 Things You Didn't Know About Me
1. When I was a toddler my mom thought I was a boy stuck in a girls body because her baby book said my behavioral traits were those commonly found in boys…to her relief, I grew out of that and am very much a girl. 2. I’m left handed. 3. When I was in first grade I had a crush on a fifth grader named Ryan. I wouldn’t admit it to anyone and one day as the other first and second...

Weekend Recap
Friday: I was pretty exhausted Friday night but my friend Caitlin had a friend in town she wanted me to meet since we are both bridesmaids in Caitlin’s wedding. We ended up staying out until 1 AM which is way way past my bed time.
Saturday: There wasn’t much time to sleep in on Saturday as I had lunch plans with a friend at the mall. After lunch I enjoyed the beautiful weather and...

Will you support me? →
Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I’m walking in the 2013 March for Babies in honor of Lane Turpin and in memory of Lucas Turpin and would love your help.
Would you be willing to support my walk by making a secure donation? It’s easy; just visit my event page above and click “donate now.” Any amount is appreciated and will...

Today ended up OK
Despite my late bed time (which, by the way, ended up being around 1 AM), I slept in a little, had some coffee and even dragged myself to BodyStep after work. I’m pretty sleepy now but I’m happy to say I made it through the day (and nobody died!). Also, my photographer confirmed that our wedding feature is scheduled to be published on May 13, eek! So excited to see how our wedding...

I am going to be miserable tomorrow
I’m at the airport picking up a friend. It’s almost midnight. My normal bed time at the latest is 10:30 p.m. I’m not a nice person on less than 8 hours of sleep. I’m on track to get less than 6.
Le sigh.

I need a moment...
I’m working from home today because I’m not feeling well and well, when I feel crappy, it’s nice to be able to do work in pajamas while I constantly blow my raw, red nose (such an attractive mental image isn’t it?). Anyway, I’m working on a report that would be much easier to review in hard copy so I turned on our printer and two of the ink tanks are low or empty....

Weekend Recap
Friday: The day started with a nagging cough that continued into the evening. Since a Realtor was coming to our house early the next morning, we spent the evening cleaning up/organizing things around the house and called it a night pretty early.
Saturday: Met with the Realtor (who was much less judgy than I had anticipated) and she gave us some good information. Now Brad and I need to make a...
